Who is Vostok modding especially suitable for?

For everyone who wants to personalize their watch and enjoys technical or visual modifications.

Which parts can be changed on a Vostok?

Often the bezel, glass, hands, dial, and strap are replaced.

What is the difference between original and aftermarket parts?

Original parts are made by the manufacturer, Vostok, while aftermarket parts are made by third-party suppliers. Vostok-World24 offers both types of parts, with our own aftermarket parts generally exceeding the quality of original Vostok parts. This applies in particular to the manufacturing quality, the lume used, and the design.

Are the dials suitable for movements with or without a date display?

We offer both dials with a date window at 3:00 (e.g., suitable for the automatic caliber 2416) and fully closed dials for no-date movements (e.g., caliber 2415.01). Just pay attention to the caliber information in the product title. However, you can also install any dial without a date window on a movement with a date. In that case, you might hear the date change around 24:00 (if you have good hearing), unless you remove the date ring and the switching mechanism. Usually, the date change does not cause any disturbance.

Does the modding bezel fit both Vostok Amphibia and Komandirskie models?

Yes, most of our bezels, both solid and with inserts, fit universally on the common case types of Vostok Amphibia and Komandirskie automatic watches. Please refer to the specific details in the product description of the item.

Are the necessary springs included with the offered bezels?

Yes! All our bezels (e.g., Baikal, GMT, or grid bezels) are delivered as standard including the matching mounting spring (wire spring), so you can start modifying your watch right away.

Which lug widths are available for Vostok replacement straps?

We offer straps in the classic Vostok lug widths of 18 mm, 20 mm, and 22 mm. Our range includes durable NATO nylon straps, solid stainless steel bracelets with clasps, as well as comfortable silicone and polyurethane bands.

Can I install a Vostok manual winding movement (e.g., 2409 or 2414A) into a Vostok watch case designed for automatic watches?

Yes, that can be done without any problems. However, you need to use the movement holder ring from the automatic case. It is also recommended to install a flat case back afterward, as the height of the automatic back is no longer needed due to the absence of the rotor in the automatic movement. This also reduces the overall height of the watch. You can find suitable case backs for this purpose in our catalog under the numbers "119k-14 Star" and "119k-14 pure."

Does a standard strap fit the Vostok Amphibia Neptun (case 780/960)?

No, the Neptun models have a special, integrated lug. To fit regular accessory straps, you need our special Vostok Amphibia Neptun strap adapter made of polished or brushed stainless steel.

Can I revert a modified watch back to its original state?

In principle, yes, if the original parts are still available and no irreversible changes have been made.

Do the hands and dials glow in the dark (lume)?

Yes, our own modding products, such as hands, dials, and bezels, feature integrated SuperLumiNova luminous material, ensuring the best readability. All original Vostok products are equipped with the original luminous material, but its brightness cannot be compared to the SuperLumiNova used in our parts.

What is the difference between paddle hands in "Old Style" and "New Style"?

The "Old Style" paddle hands are based on the historical vintage design of classic Soviet military watches. The "New Style" variant offers a more modern design and provides more space for lume, significantly improving visibility in the dark.

Does a glass back (e.g., Scuba Dude) fit on every Vostok automatic watch?

Our stainless steel case backs with viewing window (like the Scuba Dude model GB-02) are optimized for almost all automatic cases of the Vostok Amphibia and Komandirskie (e.g., calibers 2415 and 2416) and reliably keep the watch protected.

Are the parts original VOSTOK products or replicas?

Vostok-World24 is a partner of the Russian watch manufacturer VOSTOK. We offer original factory spare parts directly from production as well as specialized, precisely fitting high-end modding parts of excellent quality. All 100% compatible.

Can I also replace modding parts like bezels myself as a layperson (DIY)?

Yes! Replacing a Vostok bezel is an excellent DIY project for beginners and requires hardly any tools. For more complex tasks like changing the hands or dial, however, we recommend using specialized watchmaker tools.

Where are the products shipped from and how long is the delivery time?

All orders are shipped directly from our warehouse in Berlin, Germany (EU). You benefit from fast, reliable shipping via DHL/German Post and do not have to worry about long delivery times or customs formalities within the European Union.

VOSTOK AMPHIBIA Sunburst Blue Dial

Give your Vostok a touch of excellence with the fascinating 962 dial. If you’re looking for a modding part that perfectly combines elegance and functionality, this radiant blue highlight is just right for you. It breaks the standard and turns your Russian automatic watch into a true unique piece on your wrist.

Noble Sunburst Effect in Blue

The centerpiece of this dial is the deep sunburst finish in blue. Depending on the light, the shade shifts from a strong brown to dark brown nuances, a feature usually found only in luxury watches. The clear white lettering provides an excellent contrast, ensuring the design remains clean and professional despite the intense color.

Sandwich Construction for Maximum Depth

What sets this model apart from ordinary dials is the high-quality sandwich construction. The indices are cut out so that the underlying layer is visible. This creates an impressive three-dimensionality and depth, making your watch instantly appear more premium. Combined with the absence of a date display, it results in an absolutely symmetrical and clean look that will delight minimalists.

Outstanding Luminosity with SuperLumiNova

So you won’t be left in the dark even in the deepest night or underwater, the 962 dial is equipped with SuperLumiNova. The luminous material in the lower layer of the sandwich construction stores light extremely efficiently and emits it in a clear, long-lasting brightness. This guarantees the readability of your Vostok at all times.

Versatile Fit for Your Modding Projects

This dial is a true all-rounder. It was specially designed for the classic automatic cases of the Vostok Amphibia but also fits perfectly into the cases of the Komandirskie series. Whether you want to restore an old heirloom or start a completely new custom project – with this part, you lay the foundation for a timeless classic. Please note that it is not suitable for K-35 cases.

Key Features at a Glance

Exclusive Design: Stunning sunburst brown for a refined look.
Sandwich Dial: Multi-layer construction for fascinating depth and 3D effect.
Strong Luminosity: High-quality SuperLumiNova for perfect night readability.
No-Date Look: Symmetrical design without a date window for maximum aesthetics.

Compatibility with Vostok Amphibia and Komandirskie

The 962 dial is designed for classic Vostok Amphibia and Komandirskie watches and can be combined with modern automatic movements and corresponding hand sets.

For cases of the 350 series, there is a special note: These watches do not use a sealing ring for the watch glass as standard, which makes the visible dial diameter larger than in classic Amphibia and Komandirskie models. Therefore, for projects with case 350, a suitable sealing ring must be installed in the glass so that standard dials like the 962 dial can be technically correctly and securely mounted, which also increases water resistance to 200m.

Don’t compromise on your next watch project. With the 963 dial, you choose quality and a look that stands out without being intrusive. Treat your Vostok to the upgrade it deserves and order today!
